What It Was

Elizabeth Taylor and Magic Johnson host the annual Passport Fashion Show produced by Macy’s West. The show benefits numerous AIDs organizations.

What We Did

Lightswitch has designed the lighting for this event for the past eight years. A lot of emphasis is put on the highly theatrical nature of the show, and video projection and moving lights are used extensively.

Why It Worked

Special guests such as Tina Turner, KD, STOMP and the Broadway cast of "Chicago" have been spliced in with many guest designers from Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger to Ana Sui and Vera Wang. The lighting always showcases the talent and spotlights the fashions while creating excitement for the guests at this worthwhile event. This project received a Northern California EMMY® Award.
